AKA TheC0Factor

What I said I was really good at on my dating profile:
Computer stuff. Feats of strength. Driving long distances without stopping. Multi-tasking. Directions. Running. Giving advice / listening to people.

The old-fashioned way - online! Rachel and John first met virtually through the dating website, OKCupid. Unlike other potential online suitors whose first messages were simply, ``Sup?`` or ``How R U?,`` John took the time to craft a note that showed how much the two had in common (and that he actually read her profile). Rachel was impressed.

Rachel and John had their first date at Hops N Scotch on August 14, 2012. The bar had just opened earlier that month, and since it was in Rachel's neighborhood, John thought it'd be a perfect location. Little did he know that Rachel had already checked the restaurant out a couple of times and was a big fan, so she knew he had good taste.

John proposed to Rachel at Coast Guard Beach in Cape Cod on August 15, 2015. The couple was celebrating their third anniversary, and the beach was a special place for John, who had spent his summers there. While Rachel was taking a dip, John used the opportunity to scatter rose petals over the sand. When she returned, John got down on one knee, and the rest is history.
As the bride's older sister, Jamie wins the contest for knowing Rachel the longest. As a child, Rachel was never sure if she was liked by her sister, but that's clearly changed over time, and now, Jamie is the person Rachel goes to whenever she needs advice. Jamie is also the mother of one of our flower girls, Alden.

Tim and John met during college at Penn State University. After graduation John was intent on moving to Boston and Tim was the first person he called to see if he wanted to find an apartment together. Living together for ten years is easy when it's with your best friend.

Sheri and Rachel first met when they were nine years-old playing on the Mystic Dental softball team AKA Mental Dental. They went to middle school and high school together, and you can basically say they went to college together, too, since they both attended schools in New Haven and visited each other all the time.

Rob is the oldest Marco brother and has always been someone John looked up to. Rob introduced John to Led Zeppelin and sparked his younger brother's interest in running when he joined the track team in high school - John followed his lead a few years later. Now that Rob is a father of two, John enjoys watching him being a dad and learning from his experiences.

Sodany and Rachel met at Yale and have been following a similar path ever since. They both have careers in marketing, live in Boston and got engaged in 2015. Rachel is proud to say she bought Sodany's first shot when she turned 21.

Todd is John's younger brother and has shared similar interests since they were both kids. Growing up it was Dino Riders, Ninja Turtles, and Legos, but during the awkward teenage years the two went in different directions; however, when Todd followed John to Penn State, the two were able to share experiences again.

Jen and Rachel met while working for The Day Publishing Company. Jen covered Waterford for the daily paper and Rachel covered Waterford for the weekly edition, and Jen often shared story ideas with her counterpart. Though Rachel's time at the newspaper was short, the friendships there were long-lasting, especially with Jen.

Jim and John met during their time at Penn State University. After browsing through Jim's CD collection and finding the Beastie Boys and Smashing Pumpkins, John knew Jim was someone he'd want to hang out with more. Fast forward 14 years and the two are still yucking it up together, especially in NYC where Jim lives now.

Lenora was one of the first friends Rachel made when she moved to Boston. She can always be counted on to make Rachel's days more epic, whether that means running onto the parade route of the Southie's St. Patrick's Day Parade just to get a photo with the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man or sticking it out during a sub-zero Broncos/Patriots game.

Jimmy is known as the ``wild card`` of John's friends. You never know what's going to come out of Jimmy's mouth. You'll always be in for an earful on whatever topic it is. Since meeting Jimmy through his now-wife Anissa (John's first neighbor in Boston), John has enjoyed his die-hard love of Boston sports teams and good beer, as well as great conversation (of course)! Jimmy has also been known to cut a serious rug. Look for him on the dance floor.

David is John's nephew and the son of Rob and Debbie Marco. Since John and Rachel told him he was their Ring Bearer, he has taken the role very seriously, practicing his pillow carrying skills on numerous occasions. In addition to protecting wedding rings, David's interests include pirates, cars, airplanes, and superheroes.

Monica is John's niece and the daughter of Rob and Debbie Marco. She has already slipped seamlessly into the Flower Girl role, having served as an enthusiastic dress model for John and Rachel. Monica's current interests include the pups of Paw Patrol, Elmo, and Dora the Explorer.

Alden is Rachel's niece and the daughter of Jamie and Santo D'Asaro. Her current interests include dancing, bumblebees, candy, and trick or treating (even in the off-season). Born in Los Angeles, Alden is currently learning that everything is bigger in Texas in her new home in Austin.

Rounding out the Flower Girl trio is Nora Marco, daughter of Todd and Megan Marco and John's niece. After a year and a half in Chicago, Nora opted for a warmer climate when she made the move to Northern California. She is a staunch animal lover, especially when it comes to Mika the dog.

A master carpenter, Rachel's dad is also known for his kitchen abilities, whether it's for his chocolate peanut butter balls, pancakes, or pizza. He has always been in Rachel's corner, attending countless track meets and multiple graduation ceremonies over the years.

John's mom and dad have been supportive during every step of John's life, whether that meant nurturing John's interest in computers or attending track meets. Wonderful hosts to their family and friends, Mary can often be found cooking up a new Wegmans recipe while Bob tends to the fire during Pennsylvania winters.

Rachel's shower will be held at Hops N Scotch in Brookline, Massachusetts, from 1-4 p.m.

John's bachelor party will take place in Colorado.

Rachel's bachelorette party will take place in Charleston, South Carolina.
